Our Mission…

Sierra Leone is a land of considerable contrasts. Set into the landscape of a tropical paradise are the reminders of a civil war that raged for over a decade, ending in 2002 and changing the face of the country.

In this land of beauty and abundant natural resources lives a poverty-stricken populace. It is the mission of First Catch Seafood to provide a wholesale outlet by which the ambitious fishermen of Sierra Leone can sell all their products locally, or to U.S. and European markets.

By loyally partnering with First Catch Seafood, the fishermen of Sierra Leone can earn a fair price for their catch, thereby growing their income, raising their standard of living, and beginning the process of bringing their country out of a war-torn past and into a future with promise and potential.
